ACP Names Melanie LaCount as Communications Chief of Staff

WASHINGTON,November20, 2025—The ֦Ƶ Association (ACP) today announced thatMelanie LaCountwill join the organization as Chiefof StaffforCommunications.With overtwo decadesof experience inenergy policy,strategic communications,andbuilding teams that produce innovative and impactful results,LaCountwillsupport the association’s efforts to communicate the impact ofclean energy to drive economic growth, create jobs, and strengthen communities.

As our industry looks to communicate with new audiences, her leadership is the boost of energy we need.”

While at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, LaCount helped shape national energy and environmental policy and led teams to advance environmental progress. She holds a Master of Arts in Public Policy from the University of Maryland and a Bachelor of Arts in Public Policy from Duke University.
